Last post of the year
I spent Christmas at my family's place. It's been five years since we all celebrated together because we all live far away from each other. So I flew to my mom's place and I was very happy that it hadn't snowed, because I don't like flying when it's snowed. I'm always afraid there might be ice on the runway…
Anyway, I had a good time and we even made a short trip across the border where I found my favorite chocolate:
Fazer's Salmiakki. It's basically milk chocolate filled with liquid soft licorice. Heavenly!
I actually wanted release more pages this week but I had to take care of some RL duties instead, so sorry about the recent lack of releases.
About my scanlation plans for the next year: DanielBT, a very talented young proof-reader, has been reviewing all the pages I've done so far and currently I'm busy redoing them according to the improvement suggestions he sent me. So I'll be working on that next week. However, I'll also try to squeeze in another Little Spirou and maybe a Violine release.
Happy New Year!

Christmas break
Sorry for the recent lack of updates. Currently I'm on a little Christmas break. I'll resume relasing new pages early next week.

A Spirou & Fantasio Adventure - Vol. 3 - p.37-40
More adventures in the snow. Is the Zorglumobile damaged beyond repair? What about the Count? And what happened to Fantasio? What will Spirou and Seccotine discover in the caves? Find out some of the answers in today's four pages.

Donito - Vol. 1 - p.21-24
Here are pages 21-24. In other words: I translated over half of the book. Hooray! Only 20 pages left!
One thing I find very amusing about this comic is that there is actually very little Donito in "Donito". I mean I've done 24 pages so far and that kid appears in only 6 of them. (Okay, seven, if you count the one page where he is shown sleeping in his bed in the background in one single panel...)
Also, am I the only one who finds it odd that Bigaloo the Seal actually has two hind legs instead of flippers? A very strange seal indeed...

Violine - Vol. 3 - p.13-16
Violine and Kombo continue their journey inside the Iron Bird. Will Kombo's predictions about their fate come true? And what about the visions he had about the whiskey? Download and find out!

A Spirou & Fantasio Adventure - Vol. 3 - p.33-36
Lots of action in these four pages. The Count is finally losing it... Personally, I think these decades of "experimenting" with mushrooms have something to do with it as well. ;-)

Little Spirou - Vol. 13 - p.21-24
Yay! Another Grandma comic! And more about the teachers! And young boys in uniforms!
Little Spirou - Sweet Dreams!, p. 21-24: Download (updated 2012-01-04)

A Spirou & Fantasio Adventure - Vol. 3 - p.29-32
Here are pages 29 to 32. (That means over half of the book is done. Yay!) In today's pages our friends finally arrive in Nepal, the Count shows us another one of his remarkable inventions and you'll learn his full name (if you don't already know it from the other books, that is)!
Extra info about the Count's name: André Franquin said to find a name for the Count he and his wife looked through a name day calender and chose the ones that sounded the funniest.

Donito - Vol. 1 - p.17-20
Captain Clod and his pirates try their best to find a suitable human sacrifice for Carmina the Siren. They even get involved in some monkey business...

Little Fantasio - woot?!
Apparently, Fabrice Tarrin is working on a new comic for Spirou magazine called "La jeunesse héroïque de Fantasio" (engl. "The heroic youth of Fantasio") and the first six pages will be published in next week's issue N°3843.
Tarrin posted the first page on his blog:
I'm so thrilled about this comic and I'd love to read (and translate) more of it. So here's my question: Is anyone scanning current issues of Spirou magazine or does anyone know where I can find said scans?
For this comic alone I'd actually buy the magazine and scan the pages myself, but unfortunately they don't sell it in the country I live in. (The only way to get a hold of Spirou magazine here is to get a one-year subscription which costs about 200€ and that's a bit too much for me.) And even on ebay.fr current Spirou issues are surprisingly hard to find... :-(
